ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Born and raised in Brooklyn, as a native New Yorker, I was saturated with diverse cultural articulation. Being of mixed Caribbean descendants (Barbados, Saint Croix, and Monserrat) complemented by a Swedish, French, and German lineage, my exposure and influences formulated my artist path and my grand appreciation for it.
I have always been an artist, and I’ve experienced many successes with my creative expressions in multiple mediums. From writing and winning competitions to playing the violin, interior design, both residential and commercial, and event planning/decor, I adroitly create clients' special moments. I am also a personal stylist who infuses my most extraordinary jewelry design.
Each hand-crafted piece of ear and neckwear is inspired by all of the women in my family. Each one, whether younger or seasoned, is an instrumental element of strength, and this is my homage to them for the monumental influence they’ve each had in my life. Drawing inspiration from my heritage, I’ve created unique, eclectic wearable art utilizing a range of assets from gemstones like pearls, quartz, crystals, onyx, abalone, turquoise, and rhinestones to leather, cowrie shells, cotton, feathers, beads, woods, metals, sterling silver, and gold leaf.
Being fashion-forward, I adore pioneers like Cocoa Chanel, who introduced the “little black dress” (LBD). My one-of-a-kind, customized art pieces are fluid and complementary to that look. Because my designs are fluid and ornate, they are not restricted to just one setting. They evoke a beauty that can be a daily accent for any woman!
