Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy with "A Drum Major for Justice," a 2-hour poetry tribute at Arts'tination on January 18, 2025. This event will feature powerful performances from five talented poets, including members of the Literary Leaders of Prince George’s County, alongside beautiful vocal music and live djembe drumming.

The program will feature:

  • Poets: Hiram Larew, Ladi Di, Brenda Bunting, Sekeithia Johnson, Janique Mucklevene

  • Vocalist: Soprano Karen Wiggs-Wilbanks

  • Musician: Djembe Drummer Doc Powell

  • Moderator: Sistah Joy
