Prince George’s Film Office Grantee's Film Set to Shine at Exclusive Screening

 

May 17, 2023–Largo, MD–The Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council and the Prince George’s Film Office is pleased to announce the release of Million to One, written, directed, and executive produced by Harold Jackson and funded in part by a grant from the Prince George’s Film Office. The film will be available for viewing on May 20, 2023 at Bowie State University's Fine and Performing Arts Center. Tickets for the exclusive screening can be reserved here.

Million to One is a comedy drama that tells the story of how Dre Shaw reluctantly puts his life as a social media rising star on hold to return home for a family wedding, only to go from family liability to savior. The film features a talented cast and crew, including Rob Gordon, Derrick A. Smith, Ashley Rios, Michael J. Patterson, and Decarlo Gerard. The film was shot on location in Prince George's County and showcases the beauty and diversity of the community.

The grant provided by the Prince George’s Film Office was instrumental in bringing this project to life. It allowed executive producer, writer, and director Harold Jackson to secure top-notch equipment, hire experienced crew members, and create a film that truly captures the essence of this comedy drama.
