This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council. For 40 years, PGAHC has supported the arts in Prince George’s County through advocacy, education, programming, and financial assistance to create and sustain a rich and vibrant community. PGAHC understands the power and impact the art and humanities can have on the community and remain steadfast in the commitment to driving positive change and enriching the Prince George’s County community through the arts.

Our Impact and Reach

PGAHC serves nearly one million residents and over 200 public schools. We support and advocate for thousands of artists, educators, and creative entrepreneurs in Prince George’s County.

 

PGAHC’s Programs and Services

PGAHC provides over $1 million annually in programs and services to our constituents and community. PGAHC staffs and works with consultants who are recognized specialists in their respective fields to assist in PGAHC’s core program areas and provide key services. PGAHC maintains a signature public art program, vibrant arts education program, literary focused humanities platform, creative entrepreneurship incubator and co-working space, and a resource portal for film and digital media.
