PGAHC Joins the Stage at The 2018 Future Of Film & Media Conference

Rhonda Dallas, PGAHC Executive Director will be among the leading speakers at the 2018 Future of Film & Media Conference.

The Future of Film Conference is created and organized by Creative Edge Collaborative,  an arts and culture non-profit start-up dedicated to making Prince George’s County a global leader in film and digital media innovation. The conference will be held Friday, Oct 5 and Saturday, Oct 6 The Hotel at The University of Maryland, 7777 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD.

Dallas will deliver the opening remarks for the conference Oct. 5 at 9:00 a.m.

“This is an exciting time to be a film and media professional in the Washington, D.C. area,” Dallas says. “It’s even more exciting for Prince George’s County when you consider with our fast growth in the global film community. Our film office is poised to be a major contributor to that community.”

Subjects include New Maryland State Film Incentives, Industry Financing, & Marketing, New Maryland State Film Incentives, Industry Financing, & Marketing and Immersive Storytelling with Mixed Media/Augmented Reality/& Virtual Reality.

Guest speakers include DeShuna Spencer is the Founder/CEO of kweliTV, a video streaming network that curates undiscovered and award-winning indie films, documentaries, web series and children’s programming of the global black community; and she’s a radio host/producer of emPower Hour, a weekly social justice show on DC’s 89.3 FM WPFW; Pierre Walcott, Founder/ CEO of Creative Edge Collaborative and Rhett Butler, CEO of Rhett Butler & Associates, a creative agency based in the Gateway Arts District.
