The Prince George’s Philharmonic Continues Move Into New Era This Fall
He was born in Cuba, raised in New York and now he holds the conductor’s podium in Maryland.
When Maestro Jesus Manuel Berard takes the stage at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts this fall, he will have completed his first year as the new leader of the Prince George’s Philharmonic. It will be more evident than ever that the organization, recently surpassing the 50 year mark, will have truly opened a new chapter under the guidance of its first Cuban-born, renowned conductor.
