The City of Bowie announces a Request for Proposals public art opportunity for qualified artists or artist teams to design, fabricate and install artwork for the lobby of Bowie City Hall, Bowie, Maryland.

The MSAC provides opportunities for artists through grant funding, technical assistance and opportunities to engage with communities and develop professional relationships.
The Maryland State Arts Council’s competitive Individual Artists Award (IAA) recognizes the value of artists and their work to the cultural vitality of Maryland. The Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation administers awards of $1,000, $3,000 or $6,000, which are recommended by an out-of-state jury that reviews unidentified submissions solely on the basis of artistic merit.

In Mount Rainier, Maryland, the arts community is partnering with local businesses, two community development corporations, four cities, and Prince George’s County to enliven the Mount Rainier town center and increase the regional visibility of the Gateway Arts District using a mix of temporary projects and equity investments to support existing small business, attract commercial in-fill, prepare for new anchor developments, and further strengthen our diverse, creative, streetwise communities.
